I’ve always created art to understand myself better. Though, what started off as a cathartic self-exploration, I also discovered more about the human condition and how we interact with the world.

Being a queer, neurodivergent woman in this modern age, my art reflects how my experiences have shaped me and my mental state. I’ve found art can show feelings in a way that sometimes words lack; it can bring us into a better and more thoughtful state of empathy for others and gives us a momentary release. It forces the viewer to look and listen, to commiserate with me on a deeper level, without the formalities of spoken conversations. In this way, art connects us, even as two ships passing in the night.

We see ourselves in art, and art manifests itself within us.
